📖 How to Use
Measure your neck and waist (and hips for women) using a soft tape. This tool uses the U.S. Navy Formula to estimate your body fat percentage based on your body's circumference.
What is a healthy body fat %? +
For men, 14-24% is considered fit/average. For women, 21-31% is the typical healthy range.
How accurate is the Navy Method? +
It is surprisingly accurate (usually within 3-4% margin) compared to DEXA scans, provided your measurements are precise.
Where should I measure my waist? +
Men should measure at the navel level. Women should measure at the narrowest point of the waist.
Why do women need hip measurements? +
Because women naturally carry more essential fat in the hip and thigh region, the formula requires this for accuracy.
